 The Beginning
Juliana and Benjamin's paths would cross just as each of them were experiencing this sundering in their own lives. As the previous chapters came to a close, the world around them raged like a hurricane leaving in its wake utter destruction.
Both of them were new to Eugene and had very limited local friend network, which led them to search for anyone out there that would listen. Something to make themselves feel normal. A voice that could break the silence. This is how Juliana and Ben met. They both were experiencing the hardest part of saying goodbye to their old lives. This became the first common ground between them. As the two began to get to know one another, and be there for the other to cry upon, their lives began to intersect and bind them.

shared together seemed as if they were in the middle of a swirling vortex where life all around them was ripped away... yet the two did not seem to notice. For where they stood no harm could touch them, the grass and flowers bloomed beneath their feet, the sun shined down on them and the world as the knew it was peaceful. The world tried to destroy this peace but it could not even be scratched. Oh the world tried, with all its fury to break the two, something had shielded them from the pain of the outside world, and engulfed their lives with peace and happiness.
