 or months they talked on the phone for hours, sharing stories, jokes, and telling of the days events. Every night they ended their conversations with a simple little phrase, "I'll see you in dreamland." The two of them felt as if the only place they could be together was in their dreams. With the future looking more and more bleak the two began to realize that they simply could not be. The feelings they felt in their heart towards one another came too soon, the fear that their old lives would cross over into their new lives was too much of risk to bare. to overcome and would surely become the demise of them. A storm was coming and they both knew they could not endure it. It would destroy what they had. They finally decided to go their separate ways in order to prevent either one of them from suffering the fate the future held.
Destiny is like a river, and your life is leaf floating down it. If you try to swim against the current the current will push you down, however eventually you will still end up where were meant to go. This became very apparent to Benjamin and Juliana as the more they tried to say goodbye the more life slammed them into one another. Every step away made them two steps closer.
Life did not get easier for Benjamin. A whole slew of situations and circumstances that seemed impossible to overcome stacked up on his shoulder. He was stripped down to nothing.
